The VESSS Summer Academy scholars certainly work hard, and as the saying goes, they play hard too. On Monday night, the scholars enjoyed a special after-hours visit to the Virginia Living Museum. At the Museum, the students viewed a showing of “The Night of the Titanic” at the Abbitt Planetarium, and learned how cycles in solar radiation and ocean currents led to the formation of the iceberg that sank the Titanic. The students also had the opportunity to tour the Museum’s exhibits and interact with a menagerie of animals.
